Early Fall Miniature Garden

Early Fall Miniature Garden

by Barbara Lee on September 22, 2012

To create a fall miniature garden I used an herb box that still had some rosemary and added a few other plants for color and texture.

I planted lantana, mecardonia and thyme. Lantana is sun loving and drought tolerant. This resilient plant rewards with colorful clusters that bloom profusely. Mecardonia offers abundant yellow flowers on trailing deep green foliage that will spill over your container.

I added some garden elements such as pots, a trellis, wheelbarrow with pumpkins, a cloche and a chair. Place in a sunny spot and enjoy this early autumn burst of color.
